That's a wrap - CSD 2018

The curtain came down on this years Cassette Store Day (CSD) on the 13th of October and yet again the CSD Team did the audio cassette tape absolute justice. We had the immense pleasure of working with a number of individuals and labels to get their releases ready for CSD. In doing so it exposed us again to the high level of commitment that those individuals and labels have to the cassette and its enduring ability to get their sounds into the hands & ears of the waiting public. Due praise also to the record stores that gave their support and the individuals that put together the CSD events that took place around the UK during the day and well into the evening.

We wanted to mention Analogue Electronic Whatever (on Twitter @AewAnalogue) who had the ultimate Cassette Store Day experience really...they collected their cassettes from us, got to see some of our duplication equipment, then went and stocked up three record stores in three different towns with their release...all on the same day! - epic CSD commitment.

As a celebration of the cassette goes Cassette Store Day is the go to event each year as Record Store Day is to vinyl. What the two events share is , both are all about a physical format and both are as much about the music as they are about the format. Because the people that step out on these two respective days each year are indeed looking to embrace both the music and the format. The thrill of the chase to get a copy of something you really want or the elation and satisfaction of being surprised by something you've never heard before, but end up loving and playing it over and over again. There's the essence and spirit of the well done Cassette Store Day for another year and another job well done...see you in 2019.

We'll catch up with you again Novemeber :)
